NYC Parks employee assaulted by masked man at city pool: cops

A mysterious masked man beat a city Parks Department employee with a chair Saturday morning outside the Betsy Head Pool in Brooklyn, police said.

The 38-year-old female Parks staffer was clearing the front of the Brownsville facility with a leaf blower around 8 a.m. when she was hit in the head multiple times with a metal folding chair, officials said.

The attacker then ran off.

The woman was taken to the hospital “conscious and breathing,” Parks officials said.

NYPD said she was in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital.

“Our staff suffering violent assaults is simply appalling” said Crystal Howard, a Parks spokeswoman. “. We are actively cooperating with the NYPD on their investigation of the matter.”

Police said the suspect was a man wearing a ski mask, black shirt and black pants

There were no arrests.
