Tyler Herro’s girlfriend, Katya Elise Henry, is basking in the joy of motherhood after the couple welcomed daughter Zya in September.
“I know i say it a lot but I’m obsessed with this new ME And NEW LIFE I’ve adapted to wow God really did that,” Henry shared in a note about motherhood, which was posted on her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
“Just thinking about how being a mom reality is the best shhhtyt ever. Like every day I can’t wait to wake up & just be Zya’s mom and hold her and take care of her,” she continued.
Herro began dating Henry sometime after the Heat point guard tweeted at the fitness entrepreneur in March 2020.
New mom Henry happened to post her message on the same day Herro recorded a career-high 32 points in a 119-112 win over the Wizards. The 21-year-old added six rebounds and three assists off the bench in Miami’s fourth straight victory.
Henry was in attendance for the game and shared a number of selfies — including one in her seat at FTX Arena with Herro’s brothers, Austin and Myles.
The fitness influencer also shared a photo of red and orange single roses that Herro gave to her and their daughter after the game.
“Daddy came home with a rose for both of his girls today,” she wrote over the photos, adding a teary-eyed emoji.
Herro led Miami to a win with a COVID-and injury-stricken roster in his third 30-point game of the season.
After a breakout season in the 2020 NBA bubble, Herro has continued to develop as a key piece for Miami’s offense. He’s averaging 20.6 points per game this season and is being talked about as a contender for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award.
The NBA has reportedly postponed Wednesday’s Heat-Spurs game due to Miami having less than the eight players required.
