Bill Belichick shuts down New Year’s resolutions question again

She’s back.

The reporter who went viral for asking Patriots coach Bill Belichick about his 2022 New Year’s resolutions asked the same question Friday during a virtual press conference before the Patriots play the Jaguars on Sunday.

The Boston Globe writer, who OutKick named as being Juliet Pennington, was initially shut down by Belichick last Friday after a Patriots loss to the Bills.

“It’s New Years’ Eve Day, have you had a chance to consider any New Years’ resolutions since I asked you on Sunday,” Pennington asked Friday.

“They would all be personal so they probably wouldn’t mean anything to you anyway,” Belichick said, before he took a pause and flashed a grin at the camera.

On Sunday, after the loss to Buffalo, he told the reporter that he would reveal his resolutions “maybe next week.”

But when the time finally came for Pennington to follow up with her question, Belichick set her up for another viral moment.

Meanwhile — Tom Brady, who spent 20 seasons with Belichick and the Patriots before moving on to Tampa Bay — praised the reporter for her bold question.

“I want to be as brave and courageous as she was, asking that question to coach Belichick after a loss. That’s what I want for the New Year,” Brady said, referring to New England’s 33-21 home defeat.
