Zack Snyder Shares First Concept Art For Netflix’s ‘Rebel Moon’

Zack Snyder has shared the first concept art from his upcoming film Rebel Moon, which will debut on Netflix.

The Justice League director is going to space very soon. After exploring the DC Extended Universe and playing around with zombies in Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder is rocketing to the moon. After directing the zombie thriller for Netflix, the director is returning to the streamer for his upcoming sci-fi epic Rebel Moon.

Co-written by Zack Snyder, Army of the Dead‘s Shay Hatten, and 300‘s Kurt Johnstad, Rebel Moon will see a colony at the edge of space threatened by the nefarious Balisarius, a tyrannical people. The colony then sends a young woman to distant planets to help fight off the government. The project has been inspired by the works of director Akira Kurosawa and Star Wars.

At one point in time, Zack Snyder was in talks to direct a Star Wars project. While those plans didn’t manifest, the director revealed that his idea for the iconic franchise was repurposed into what is now known as Rebel Moon.

With the film set to hit production soon, Zack Snyder took to Vero to share the first concept art from the Netflix film.
