Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland is poised to make eight figures for his next Marvel project.
Things are looking fantastic for Tom Holland’s savings account as the recently released Spider-Man: No Way Home has just crossed a billion at the global box office, a pandemic best. The Spidey threequel is the first film since 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to score over a billion. The film managed to cross the billion-dollar finish line without the help of China, where the film still hasn’t been released. The Spider-mania is at an all-time high and it looks like the young star will use it to his advantage.
Variety reports that Tom Holland doesn’t score backend deals that are directly tied to the film hitting box office benchmarks. With the success of Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home, both of which have crossed over a billion dollars at the box office, that’s set to change. Sources also report that alongside a backend deal, the star is set to make low eight-figures for his next stint as the web crawler. The word on the street is that Holland earned a $4 million paycheque for his recent multiversal threequel.
Spider-Man has boosted Tom Holland’s worth considerably, as the star is now expected to bring in $2 to $5 million for independent features, and anywhere between $5 to $10 million for blockbuster projects. The report also indicated that the British star was in talks to star in an ensemble from an A-list director. Holland was poised to bring in $1 million for a small role in the tentpole film, though deals eventually fell through. It’s expected that Holland can wrangle upwards of $20 million in films produced by streamers.
