The first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has provided fans with the first look at Rintrah.
Marvel Studios brought the goods yesterday. Not only did the Hawkeye season finale air to acclaim, but the studio also officially debuted the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The trailer which was first released as the post-credits stinger for Spider-Man: No Way Home, showcased Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange recruiting Wanda Maximoff to tackle the multiverse.
The first look at the long-awaited Doctor Strange sequel is an explosion of multiverse chaos, with several fan-favorite characters like Wong and Mordo returning. The trailer also provides the first look at Rintrah, one of Doctor Strange’s most weird and compelling villains. Rintrah is an interdimensional minotaur who possesses powers that could very well rival the ones the good doctor possesses.
In the trailer, Rintrah can be seen attacking some of Doctor Strange’s fellow sorcerers in a compound where fire rages on.
Seeing as the film has villains in Doctor Strange Supreme and Gargantos, it’s unlikely that Rintrah will be the leading baddie. It still remains to be seen how he’s folded into the upcoming Benedict Cumberbatch sequel.
Benedict Cumberbatch can be seen as Doctor Strange in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here’s the synopsis:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
