Robbery Arrest - Josiah Humphrey

On April 22nd at approximately 4:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to Bobs Store, 2300 Dixwell Avenue on the report of a shoplifting in progress.
Upon arrival, officers observed an individual, who was later identified as Josiah Humphrey, fighting with a security officer. Humphrey subsequently fled on foot. Officers found him hiding under a parked vehicle, in a parking garage on Mix Avenue. He was promptly arrested.
Further investigation revealed that Humphrey, and 3 female accomplices, allegedly attempted to steal several items from the store. The accomplices are identified as Tiffany Hudson, Angelica Blackwood and Jasmine Brown. They were arrested in the parking lot of the Hamden Mart.
Hamden Police arrested:
Josiah Humphrey, 20, of 30 Vale Street in Waterbury. He was charged with Robbery in the 3rd Degree, Larceny in the 6th Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 6th Degree, Interfering With a Police Officer, Forgery in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Impersonation. Humphrey, who was detained on a $35,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on May 6th.
Tiffany Hudson, 20, of 22 Westhills Road, in New Haven.
Angelica Blackwood, 18, of 80 Brown Street in West Haven.
Jasmine Brown, 20, of 711 Congress Avenue in New Haven.
Hudson, Blackwood and Brown were all charged with Larceny 6th Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 6th Degree. They were all released on a Written Promise to Appear. They are scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on May 6th.
