Intimidating a Witness - 2 Arrests - Warren Ligon and Shannon Mosca

On March 14th Hamden Police responded to the area of 1245 Dixwell Avenue on the report of a Breach of Peace.

Investigation revealed that a 19 year-old Hamden resident was walking southbound on Dixwell Avenue, when she was approached from behind by an individual, who was later identified as Warren Ligon. Ligon allegedly dispensed an unknown liquid onto her head. He then subsequently fled to a motor vehicle, which was operated by Shannon Mosca.

The Hamden Fire Department was summoned to render medical assistance.

Further investigation revealed that Ligon and Mosca were previously arrested for allegedly burglarizing the 19 year-olds residence, months earlier. The victim advised police that she felt that this incident was in retaliation for their arrests. Officer Bryan Kelly submitted arrest warrant applications to the court for Ligon and Mosca.

On May 16th Hamden Police arrested Ligon, 19, of 1280 Townsend Avenue, Apartment 4, New Haven, for Intimidating a Witness, Conspiracy to Intimidate a Witness, Breach of Peace and Conspiracy to Commit Breach of Peace. He was scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on May 16th.

On June 8th Hamden Police arrested Shannon Mosca, 21, of 81 Briarcliff Road in Hamden. She was charged with Conspiracy to Intimidate a Witness and Conspiracy to Commit Breach of Peace. Mosca, who was detained at police headquarters on a $50,000 bond, was scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on June 8th.
