Samsung Galaxy S3

Samsung has been setting the standard for high quality Android devices with their “Galaxy” phones. Does the newest Samsung Galaxy S3 pack enough hardware to raise the bar once again? The device has a 4.8 HD SUPER AMOLED display along with a quad-core Exynos processor. It seems that Quadcore devices are going to be the new standard for smartphones in the coming years. Many of us still probably have a single core CPU in our phones. This one has four. As a result, it’s very, very fast. However, it is yet to be seen if the Quad core devices are going to be a large enough improvement over the dual core to make it worth the buy. It also includes one gig of ram, an eight megapixel camera, and supports HSPA+, as well as LTE. For now, there have been no U.S. carriers announced, but we are sure to see variants heading to our shores within the year. Sadly, if you want your hands on a Vanilla Galaxy S3 you will probably have to import it, which usually comes with a hefty price tag. The carriers in the U.S. usually receive variant models as opposed to the actual G S3 we are seeing. The phone is nice and fast, but it features Samsung’s touch wiz as opposed to standard android 4.0, which is sure to be a hit or miss for some. We will have to wait and see for its release in the UK until we are able to get a real idea of what this device is capable of doing.
