CERT Training

Hamden CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) will be conducting a seven-week Basic Training Course. The training will take place at the Hamden Middle School, 2623 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, starting on April 26, and continue for the next seven weeks. The training will be consistent with the National CERT Training Program, which will consist of Emergency Preparedness, Situation Awareness, Basic First Aid, Use of Fire Extinguishers, Light Search & Rescue, and Terrorism Awareness.
All applications must be picked up at the Office of the Fire Chief at 2750 Dixwell Avenue, weekdays from 8:30am-4pm. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be committed to assisting the Town of Hamden with emergency assistance in time of need and assistance in many of the town’s public pre-planned community events throughout the year. All applications must be received at the Fire Chief’s Office by Friday, April 20, at 2pm.
