Cupid’s Arrow Again Hits Hamden Town Hall

Hamden Town Clerk, Vera Morrison, wishes to announce the waiving of the $30.00 marriage license. The only hitch is that the couple will have to be married on Tuesday, February 14, in the Town Hall. Local Justices of the Peace, under a decorated wedding arch, will also provide free Valentine’s Day nuptial service. Goods and services will be provided by local businesses.

This is available to Town of Hamden residents only, on a first come, first served basis. There are limited time slots available. Proof of I.D. is required at the time of application.

“Our Town Hall staff is eagerly anticipating our sixteenth year of nuptials in the heart of Town Hall, and family members are encouraged to attend the ceremony,” says Town Clerk Morrison.

Anyone interested in tying the knot should stop by the Town Clerk’s office on the Lower Level of the Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Avenue, or call 203.287.7112 as soon as possible. The cutoff for application will be Monday, February 6.
