Assault/Strangulation Arrest - Clarence Milton Jr.

On April 26th Hamden Police responded to a Webb Street address on the report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers found the 45 year-old female resident bleeding profusely from the head.

Investigation revealed that her boyfriend, Clarence Milton Jr. continuously punched her in the face and then strangled her. Hamden Fire Rescue treated her at the scene. Milton had fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.

That after unsuccessful attempts at locating him, Hamden Police contacted the United States Marshal Service Connecticut Violent Fugitive Task Force. For several weeks, task force members were unable to locate him.

On January 18th, Hamden Police Detective Raymond Quinn and other task force members found Milton at 4 Lodge Street in New Haven. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.

Hamden Police arrested:

Clarence Milton Jr. 41, of 4 Lodge Street, New Haven. He was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Strangulation in the 2nd Degree, Unlawful Restraint in the 2nd Degree, Threatening and Disorderly Conduct. Milton Jr., who was detained at police headquarters on a $50,000 court ordered bond, was scheduled in court in Meriden today.

Milton Jr. was additionally charged with 3 Violation of Probation warrants out of New Haven.
