Wreath Making Workshop

It’s time to decorate for Christmas and the annual Wreath Making Workshop is just around the corner. Sponsored by Hamden’s Department of Arts, Recreation and Culture, and the Friends of Brooksvale Park, Inc., this year’s workshop will be held on Saturday, December 3, in the Veterans’ Memorial Hall of the Veterans’ Memorial Building at Brooksvale Park.

Learn how to put together your own wreath made of fragrant, fresh-cut greens and decorate it with baubles and bows. There will be three sessions with instruction – 10am, Noon, and 2pm. Twenty-five crafters per session are allowed, so pre-registration is a must. Older children accompanied by an adult are welcome to attend. Cost of each wreath is $15.00 with all proceeds going to support programming and improvements at the park through the Friends of Brooksvale Park, Inc. Exact change or check (made payable to FOB, Inc.) would be helpful.

To register, email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 203.287.2669. We need your name, telephone number, session attending, and number of wreaths being made. Usually, there is only time to make one wreath per session, per crafter. We will contact you if your session is full and we need you to choose another or if a storm blows in and we need to change plans. We have had snow before on wreath making day, but nothing that has prevented us from enjoying each other’s company, making a wreath, and sipping mulled cider while eating sweet donuts.
