Quinnipiac Bank Conducts Food and Coat Drive to Benefit Hamden’s Needy Families

Building on the success of last year’s efforts, Quinnipiac Bank and Trust will simultaneously conduct a Food and Coat Drive for Hamden families in need. Last winter, Quinnipiac Bank and Trust collected over 700 coats to keep Hamden residents warm and several hundred pounds of food.

New or gently used coats for men, women, and children, along with non-perishable foods, including soups, canned veggies, beans, tuna, pasta, canned meats, and peanut butter will be accepted through Friday, December 16.

“Quinnipiac Bank has once again proven itself to be a caring and involved corporate neighbor by offering to conduct this important drive for the third consecutive year,” said Mayor Jackson. “I encourage all our citizens who can afford to assist in these efforts to please help our fellow Hamdenites.”

Collection bins for coats and food will be in place Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4pm at the Quinnipiac Bank Headquarters, 2600 Dixwell Avenue, directly across from the Hamden Middle School. Bins will also be set up at Miller Library, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, the Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Avenue, and at the Keefe Community Center, at the corner of Dixwell Avenue and Pine Street.
