Pedestrian Struck

On October 18th, during the early evening hours, Yale-New Haven Hospital personnel notified Hamden Police that George Ferrie Jr., 87, of 43 Briarcliff Road in Hamden, had died. Ferrie is the pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle on October 18th at Old Dixwell Avenue and Evergreen Avenue.

On October 19th Ferrie’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Officer David Falcigno of the Traffic Division is continuing the investigation.
