Skate for Leah
by Staff ◊ Mar 18, 2011
Skate for Leah is an annual MADD event held in memory of Leah Hall, killed by a drunk driver in 1995. At the request of Leah’s family, MADD will hold its 10th annual skating event in an attempt to reach out to youth to create awareness about the issues of underage drinking and drunk driving. Skate for Leah will be an enjoyable event for all ages, to be held Saturday, March 26, at Louis Astorino Ice Arena, Hamden Ice Rink, 595 Mix Avenue in Hamden.
The funds raised will enable MADD to provide educational awareness programs to our young people, provide free advocacy programs to victims of alcohol–related crashes and their families, and continue educating the community about the danger of drinking and driving.
