Drug Arrest - Jeremy Morton

On March 1st at approximately 8:30p.m. Officer William May of the Hamden Police Department observed an individual traveling on Goodrich Street, without wearing a seat belt. A motor vehicle stop was subsequently conducted.
Investigation led to the search of the operator of the vehicle, Jeremy Morton. Morton, who is on parole, was found in the possession of 51 bags of crack cocaine and $270.00. The crack cocaine weighed 11.5 grams. Officers seized the narcotics, currency and vehicle that Morton was operating.
Hamden Police arrested:
Jeremy Morton, 25, of 963 Sherman Avenue in New Haven. He was charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics With the Intent to Sell, Operating Under Suspension and Failure to Wear Seat Belt. Morton, who was detained at police headquarters on a $60,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on March 15th.
