Risk of Injury/Larceny Arrest - Loarte/Veintimilla

On January 29th Hamden Police responded to Kohl’s Department Store on the report of a shoplifting.
Investigation revealed that 2 individuals, identified as Aidee Loarte and Friede Veintimilla, allegedly left the store, while pushing a baby carriage. Inside of the carriage was 1-year-old child and $333.00 in stolen merchandise. They were both promptly arrested.
Hamden Police arrested:
Aidee Loarte, 23, of 244 Quinnipiac Avenue, Apt. 2, New Haven. She was charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor, Larceny in the 6th Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 6th Degree. Loarte was released after posting a $500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on February 10th.
Friede Veintimilla, 25, of 173 Fulton Street, Apt. 1 New Haven. She was charged with Larceny in the 6th Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 6th Degree. Veintimilla, who was released on a WPTA, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on February 10th.
