Drug Arrest - Lamar Oliver

On January 4th at approximately 1:45a.m. Officer Shawn Nutcher of the Hamden Police Department observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Winchester Avenue. A motor vehicle stop was subsequently conducted.

Investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, Lamar Oliver, allegedly threw 2 packages of heroin out of the window. Officers seized the heroin, which consisted of 10 wax folds. The heroin weighed 3.5 grams. In addition, officers seized $326.00, which was in the possession of Oliver.

Hamden Police arrested:

Lamar Oliver, 31, of 59 Ellsworth Street, West Haven. He was charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics With the Intent to Sell, Tampering With Evidence, Traveling Unreasonably Fast and Defective Brake Light. Oliver, who was released after posting a $5,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on January 18th.
